The movie will adapt to the Disney classic and thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have a new look at the new version, which seems much darker and scarier than the colorful animated film.
The Little Mermaid is directed by Rob Marshall and reimagines the original 1989 animated film. The new adaptation will again see the mermaid Ariel fall in love with a human prince who lives above water, sparking a diabolical plot by the nefarious Ursula .

Synopsis for The Little Mermaid
Ariel, the youngest of King Triton‘s daughters and the most defiant wishes to know more about the world beyond the sea, and while visiting the surface, she falls in love with the handsome Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. Thus, she makes a deal with the wicked sea witch, Ursula, which gives her the opportunity to experience life on land, which puts her life and her father’s crown in danger.
